Review of Adele’s Las Vegas residency: amazing, personal, and well worth the wait

Any concerns about how Adele would be treated were swiftly allayed after a 10-month delay to her much anticipated residency in Las Vegas.

Adele received a standing ovation and loud applause when she took the stage at the Colosseum, a reception that was nearly too much for the singer.

She remarked, seeming briefly overwhelmed, “I’m f***ing shitting myself.”

She was having a hard time getting through the curtain-raiser Hello with her pianist Eric Wortham as she looked out at the crowd with tears in her eyes.

Easy On Me followed, a song about divorce that Adele flawlessly sang as she found her groove.

“I ought to be standing ovating you,”
