According to the New York Times, MacKenzie Scott and husband Dan Jewett divorced after less than two years of marriage.
After less than two years of marriage, MacKenzie Scott, a rich philanthropist, reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Dan Jewett, according to the New York Times. According to the documents obtained by NYT, the divorce was not contested by Jewett, and their prenuptial agreement had previously specified how their assets would be split.
The ex-couple had secretly gotten married in March 2021. Page Six claims that Dan’s absence from Scott’s charity undertakings led to split rumours regarding MacKenzie and Dan’s relationship. According to reports, information about her second spouse was also removed from her Amazon bio. Nearly three years have passed since Scott’s divorce from her second husband, Jeff Bezos, to whom she was wed from 1993 to 2019.
Along with her ex-husband Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie is a parent to three sons and a daughter who was adopted from China. After 25 years of marriage, the former couple divorced amid reports of the Amazon CEO’s alleged liaison with TV journalist Lauren Sanchez. “As our family and close friends know, following a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends,” MacKenzie and Jeff stated in a joint statement they released at the time of their separation.
Regarding MacKenzie’s second marriage, the author had posted a message on their Giving Pledge website announcing her union with Jewett. According to the New York Times, Dan was quoted on the Giving Pledge website as saying, “I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others.” It appears that this message has been removed from the website.
