Families like getting together to celebrate the beautiful festival of lights during Diwali. It’s a time for reunion and celebration, even for celebrities whose work schedules keep them apart from their loved ones for the most of the year. Even though Priyanka Chopra now spends more time in the US than in India, her heart will always remain Indian, especially during Diwali.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrated Diwali in a low-key way in contrast to PeeCee’s extravagant festivities of the previous several years. At the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the trio went out to dinner and were joined by the actress’ mother Madhu Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra were both dressed beautifully in Indian garb in the lovely images that Backgrid USA was able to secure. Priyanka made a stunning image while carrying a dark green handbag and wearing a teal salwar kameez with silver jhuttis. Chopra had perfectly coiffed curls. While Madhu’s hair was sleekly parted, she wore a soft yellow salwar kameez with a baby pink dupatta, brown wedges, and diamond earrings. Nick embodied biker cool as he dressed all in black, including his leather jacket, turtleneck, pants, and sneakers. Jonas had a coffee in his hand and was carrying a sling bag in a military green colour.

Nick Jiju showed off his adoring son-in-law side by taking Madhu Chopra’s hand and leading her out of the hotel, and Nickyanka fans couldn’t stop gushing over him. The two have always been full of admiration for one another, and seeing this familial side of Nick has further strengthened our belief that he is PeeCee’s ideal partner. As they shared a hearty supper together, Nick also saved a particular grin for the love of his life.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, meanwhile, are celebrating their first Diwali with daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, making it more memorable for them. PeeCee and Nick announced the birth of their adorable daughter, their first child, to the public in January. Malti Marie’s face has not been published by her parents out of extreme caution; instead, they have provided little glimpses of motherhood on their separate social media accounts while deftly concealing their child’s face.
Priyanka Chopra sent a touching statement for Malti Marie on Mother’s Day that touched many people’s hearts: “We can’t help but think back on the last few months and the emotional rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now realise a great deal of other people have also gone through. Our infant girl has spent more than 100 days in the NICU and is now at home. While ours was a difficult few months, it is clearly evident in hindsight how precious and exquisite every moment is. Every family’s path is different and calls for a specific amount of trust. We just want to express our gratitude to each and every doctor, nurse, and specialist at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles and Rady Children’s in La Jolla who selflessly supported us throughout the entire process. We are so happy that our little daughter is finally home. Our kid is certainly a badass, and our new chapter is about to begin. Get going, MM! You are loved by your parents.
