Ghislaine Maxwell’s attempt to overturn her 20-year prison term for sex trafficking is in danger of failing because her estranged husband won’t cover her legal expenses.
According to The Sun, Scott Borgerson, 46, who secretly wed Maxwell, 60, in 2016, and then broke things off over the phone while she was incarcerated pending trial, has disregarded Maxwell’s pleas for payment of a $900,000 legal bill and an additional $1 million to overturn her conviction.
Her legal team cannot begin working on an appeal against her 20-year prison term for trafficking underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender and financier who murdered himself in prison, unless the money is transferred.
By the end of January, Maxwell must file his appeal, or else the scandalous socialite.
