The sheer trend received a rockstar-ready makeover thanks to Kesha. The artist wore her starry spin on sheer when taking the stage at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert on Saturday, September 3.
Kesha wore a sheer star dress over a black bodysuit for the “fit,” which you can see in full in this video. Giving her followers a comprehensive view of the stage costume, she added more images to the look in an Instagram carousel.
Chains and cutout stars were used to construct the complete sheer top. The top’s body continued as a high chain neckline with a black star in the centre. Just above Kesha’s knees, the dress’ bottom was finished with broad stars. Kesha accessorised the skimpy top with wavy hair, bright pink eye makeup, and eyelashes.
Kesha gave fans an advance look at her outfit for her performance on Saturday. Kesha was wearing the star-studded dress while posing in what appeared to be a rehearsal and was not wearing a bodysuit underneath.
Kesha has previously taken part in the sheer trend that has engulfed Hollywood, so this wouldn’t be the first time. She sported a thong and a sheer black mesh dress in August.
You could DIY Kesha’s style by combining a similar sheer dress with a black mini dress, but her most recent version of sheer is a little more dramatic and made for the stage. Alternatively, you could emulate Vanessa Hudgens and use a transparent jacket for a festival-friendly appearance.
Kesha revealed her sexual orientation in a June Instagram post. She addressed sexual identity in a post honouring Pride Month, saying, “In case I haven’t been plain forward enough (LOL) I just wanted to take a sec to remind everyone that you are not just enough, just as you are, but the world is so fucking grateful to have you. I’m straight. I’m not cisgender. I’m unsure of who I am. I cherish people.
