After Lisa Marie Presley passed away, Navarone Garibaldi wrote a memorial to her, saying, “I pray you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son at your side.”
Lisa Marie Presley’s passing has left Navarone Garibaldi in sadness.
After Lisa Marie Presley passed away on Thursday at the age of 54, her son, Priscilla Presley, paid tribute to her by sharing an old photo of himself and the late singer-songwriter.
Garibaldi, 35, addressed her as “Big sister” and captioned a photo on Instagram on Friday with the message: “I pray you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side.” (Lisa Marie’s father Elvis Presley passed away in August 1977, when she was 9 years old, and her son Benjamin Keough committed suicide on July 12, 2020, at the age of 27.) He said, “I know the last two years haven’t been easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us. “In any case, you are my sister, and I am sending you my love and prayers as you travel back to your family. This still defies belief, and words fail me. 3 you, sis. A. Beijos”
Priscilla, 77, and her ex-Marco Garibaldi reside in Navarone.
After being transported to the hospital for what might have been a heart arrest, Lisa Marie passed away on Thursday. The passing of her daughter was confirmed by Priscilla in a statement to PEOPLE.
Priscilla opened by saying, “It is with a heavy heart that I must bring the heartbreaking news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“I have never met a lady who was as passionate, strong, and loving as she was. We request discretion as we work to process this tragic loss. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. There will be no other comments at this time.”
Earlier this week, Lisa Marie made her last public appearance at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. She went to the performance with her mother to support Austin Butler, who that night won best actor in a drama for playing Elvis in the Baz Luhrmann movie.
Lisa Marie grinned and responded, “I’m very delighted,” when PEOPLE asked how she was doing in light of Butler’s victory.
Lisa Marie addressed the crowd at a party honouring the Elvis movie the weekend before the Golden Globes (Jan. 8, Elvis’ birthday) and claimed her father would be pleased with the picture.
She told the group, “I’m so amazed by this movie, the impact it’s had, and what Baz and Austin have accomplished. “I am extremely proud, and I am sure that my father would be too. I’m really grateful, so please accept my sincere gratitude.”
