Watch the MJ ensemble perform “Thriller” for Halloween for one night only.

On Broadway, it was pitch black on Monday night.

A brand-new rendition of “Thriller,” replete with the original choreography and costumes drawn from the legendary 1982 music video, was performed as the show’s unique finale on Halloween night as part of the MJ production, the musical about the life and career of Michael Jackson (Myles Frost).

Frost addressed the crowd and stated, “To start off the rest of your Halloween, we want to do it in a way that only MJ can. “Thriller,” you say.”
For a special performance of the song, which has nearly become associated with Halloween, Frost—who received the Tony Award for his depiction of Jackson—was joined by the other performers who play Jackson during the course of the production.

The performance, which was a one-night-only affair, was intended to honour both Halloween and the song’s 40th birthday.

Every night, “Thriller,” as created by director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, is a part of the Michael Jackson performance. However, last night, the audience was treated to a celebratory performance that included the choreography from the original music video in addition to brand-new outfits, lighting, and projections.

Many others in the audience dressed up as Jackson, and Ola Ray, the original co-star of the music video who played Jackson’s fiancée who is terrified by his sudden turn into an undead, was also present as a special guest.
