The 20th anniversary of the New Orleans cocktail convention was marked this year.
In July, Tales of the Cocktail made its first trip back to New Orleans since 2019 for a live celebration of everything relating to booze and spirits. The event, which is now a non-profit organisation and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, educates, advances, and promotes both local communities and the international hospitality sector. Informally at parties dotted around the city each night of the festival’s seven-day run, attendees pick the brains of the luminaries of the spirit realm. View the event by scrolling down.
On July 25, Toast to Tales was held at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans, the event’s host hotel.
Its members include Gary Solomon, Jr. and Neal Bodenheimer, who serve as co-chairs, as well as CEO Eileen Wayner, Treasurer Gary Solomon, Sr., John Gakuru, Tess Posthumus, Perry Sholes, and Claire Warner. Gary Solomon, Jr., who assisted in transforming the occasion into a 501(c)(3) company that provides grant-giving and direct relief activities, stated of where the organisation is now, “Where we are today is meeting the industry where it needs to be met.”
